The National Institute for Sports (NIS) proudly celebrates 15-year-old Unwana Unwana Udoma, who has made history as the youngest trained coach in the Institute’s history following the successful completion of its Executive Coaching Certificate Programme in Football.
Udoma was among the 107 graduands who received their certificates at the graduation ceremony held on Wednesday, 28 October 2026, at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.

The programme, organised by the NIS, is designed to strengthen coaching capacity, improve professional standards, and promote football development, particularly at the grassroots level.
Udoma’s accomplishment serves as an inspiration to other young aspiring coaches, demonstrating the value of early talent development, dedication, and access to structured coaching education.
